Will the iPad record lectures (similar to the way the iPod Touch can)? http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/features/voice-memos.html

The iPad does have an external microphone, but I haven't yet seen evidence that the iPad includes the Voice Memo app. |

You can connect an external USB microphone via the iPad the USB connector which you can buy from Apple. There are already a number of apps for recording your voice for the iPad. Search the iTunes store for "voice recorder" |

I've used Audiotorium to good effect in a few meetings that I choose to record. Quite handy having notes scribbled down alongside the audio track, I'd have killed for this during my PhD studies ... There are a number of apps that give similar capabilities ... That was just my preferred after trying most and chatting to the devs about future directions. |
