Will there be a possibility to create pdfs (out of eg Pages-Docs) directly on the iPad?
iPad4Edu is a Q&A site not a discussion board so please try to ask a question that can be answered rather than just starting a discussion.
Finally, please remember to accept answers to your questions by clicking the tick beside the best answer.

Most definitely, yes. Current Pages '09 has that capability (under "Export..." and alongside to MSWord format), and I Steve Jobs has told Walter Mossberg on camera, that that function will be there. |

Yes, http://www.apple.com/ipad/features/ click on keynote, pages, or numbers and scroll to the bottom where it says "Works well with others." Pages: import/export as .doc and .pdf. Numbers: import from .xls and export as .pdf. Keynote: import from .ppt and export as .pdf. The greatest flexibility lies in Pages. I do not know why you cannot export as .xls or .ppt. |

If you use Google apps you can download any google doc as a PDF and all you need is a browser. If you upload a word document or excel to google docs you can the download it as a PDF. |
